Pretty paper is probably my favorite thing in the entire world. I love collecting patterned paper, vintage papers, making mixed-media papers, using memorabilia and more. One of my favorite things to do with pretty paper, is put together these little 'scrap-albums' of coordinating pretty papers, and send them to friends as gifts.
These albums need only a little bit of embellishment (the real star of these albums is the cool found papers) -- but the Shine kit was perfect for prepping the front page and making it stand out just enough. I painted the 'today' wood veneer from the "Shine" Planner Kit with a black paint marker to make it stand out against the light-colored paper. I then accented the title with black enamel dots to make it stand out just a little bit more.
Less can absolutely be more when it comes to embellishing, and it's always awesome to have the perfect embellishments right there ready to use.
