I love using flat stickers, labels, and washi tape in my planner. The bright colors in this month's kit were especially awesome for the dreary winter days. I love opening my planner to pops of color.

I’m having fun with January Embellishment Kit!

Yes yes I got two layouts done as soon as I got this kit in my hand! This is one of them. I used photos of my son and his father. I stacked the photos with some Jan cards, I don’t usually like green but I do really love the design so I decided to use it.

My fave from the embellishment and the planner kit this month are the white word alpha stickers and also the circle stickers which have some perfect icons for your everyday theme.

The January Embellishment Kit and Planner Kit are perfect for boy themed layouts! I created this bright and colorful layout of my son using it.

I layered some of Jan and December Cards (found in the store here) behind the photo. I placed all of them in the bottom area of my layout because I had a plan to paste some positive words as my title for this layout at the top.

Loved, amazing, happy and hi became my little title this time. I mixed it with some bubble wood veneers that you can find in the embellishment kit. I pasted them randomly at the top area. To make it look even cuter, I choose a smile icon that I found in the planner kit.

 Gold mist and some hand writing become pretty finishing touches on my layout.

This was the perfect kit to start my scrapbook journey in 2017. Happy crafting!

Ah January.....A time when all things are refreshed and brand new!  This month's  kit is chock full of fabulous colors and sentiments which are perfect for this time in everyone's life.

Using my A5 Inkwell Press notes pages I assembled some of my January goals and thoughts.  The numbered journal card, I used as a date reminder for some important things that are happening this month. 

Here I cut a journal card on the diagonal and stapled it to another.  It makes a fun pocket for those fab wood veneers.  The 'hi' paperclip became 'hi-ghlights' for January.  We can have a little fun in our planners right?!?

As I transition to the other side,  I took the hexagon stickers and cut out just the bleed area around them to create a fun trailing effect.

And I even played with the circle bleeds too to create a fun to-do face. 

I cut up a journal card for another project and saved the scraps to go along the rings here.  I also thought the felt heart ribbon would look awesome attached to a huge paper clip on either side of the rings. So cute!

The puffy stickers add some dimension to the layout as well as with those enamel triangles.  And you can't miss the graphic 2017 stapled in there as well...brilliant and fresh design by Doe!

I sincerely hope 2017 greets with delight, renewal and clarity!
